In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gives us the Lord’s Prayer. Martin Luther calls it “the very best prayer” and warns against unthinkingly reciting it. For over two thousand years Christians have been petitioning God with it. When we speak it, we are praising God and inviting His kingdom into our lives. It reminds us to rely on God for our needs and to forgive as we have been forgiven. God’s blessings to you as we learn from Jesus how to call upon “Our Father” in prayer.
