New Testament Lesson: Romans 6:1-14 (Dead to sin, alive in Christ)
Gospel Lesson: Luke 24:36-49 (Jesus appears to the disciples)
We celebrated Christmas in September, and now we have Easter in November! No single event in the history of the world defines reality more than the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It means Jesus is in charge of all things, that there is a greater reality to come that will last forever, and that everyday life has a greater purpose in Jesus than we could ever imagine.
Today is also the traditional celebration of All Saints Day – giving thanks to God for all those who have gone before us, lived by faith in Jesus, died with the hope of eternal life, and join with us in praise to our Savior Jesus!
