Impatience is “a strong sense of annoyance at the usually unintentional faults and failures of others.” As with most of the subtle sins – the source of impatience is not someone else’s faults, but our own internal sinfulness. It is so much easier in life to blame all of our problems on other people – and to allow our irritation and anger towards others to fester and grow. That’s why God’s word causes us to look inside of our own hearts. But God is patient with us, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.
