When Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon in 49 BC leading his troops into Rome, he declared, “The die is cast.” There was no turning back. Civil war was imminent. When Jesus entered Jerusalem on that first Palm Sunday, “The die was cast.” The consequences were irreversible. Everything would come together through the days that followed leading to the greatest events in human history – the Crucifixion and Resurrection of the sinless Son of God.
Matthew 21:1-11 (Jesus Enters Jerusalem)
