Pastor Benard Mwesigwa Jester was ordained as pastor of Nakabango Lutheran Church in Uganda in January of this year. What a gift he is to that church and the community he serves! He sent this letter of encouragement to Messiah, who partners with the church in Nakabango. Please continue to pray for the Lutheran Church of Uganda and Pastor Benard as they continue to seek ways to connect people to Jesus!
Hello brothers and sisters! Greetings to you in Christ. Christ is risen; He is risen indeed. Hallelujah! I thank the Almighty God who enables us to remain faithful in this true confession and same saying with you, our beloved partners.
Messiah Community, we appreciate the love you show to the people of Nakabango. We are so grateful for your support of Nakabango Lutheran Church. By your support, you continue to change the lives of many people—spiritually and physically. We give thanks to Christ. May you meditate on Philemon 4-7 and also sing together, “Lord of Glory, you have bought us.”
Nakabango Lutheran Church continues to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amidst all challenges, we continue to worship the Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth. For Psalm 138:1-2 tells us to always praise the Lord; this verse keeps us focusing on Christ. Christ Himself has returned many people to his church and we continue to meditate on His life-giving Word.
Though we are miles away, what makes us happy is that we “same say” the true Christian faith with you guys. We pray for you. Please pray for us too.
For our friends who are going traveling to Uganda in June, we are eagerly waiting to receive you, worship with you, and also have fun together with you.
I have much to say but 3 John 13-15 says it all.
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
