In the classic movie “The Wizard of Oz,” Dorothy lands in a confusing world and embarks on a journey home with three companions. Over 2000 years ago, Jesus called a disparate group of twelve to be His disciples. Though sometimes lacking hearts, never understanding a word He has to say, and oftentimes weak-kneed and cowardly, these tin men, scarecrows, and cowardly lions were called to be God’s saints. As disciples today, we too are invited on a journey, but we aren’t promised an easy road to follow. Discipleship takes new hearts, new minds, and new reserves of courage. How do Dorothy and her companions relate to our mission here at Messiah to LOVE Jesus, LEARN from Jesus, and LIVE for Jesus?

Join us for worship at 8AM, 9:30AM or 11AM as we “follow the Yellow Brick Road” to discover the truth revealed in Jesus. Though there are many routes that tempt us, only one right path will ultimately lead us home!
