The Old Testament contains five books of “Poetry” – personal expressions of faith in prayers, songs, liturgies, and poems. Much of the OT is told from a historic perspective; objective facts without a lot of personal insights and feelings. But behind the stories of the Bible are deep personal feelings and emotions. Walking by faith is no easy task! The struggles we all face, have been faced by God’s people throughout the ages. That’s why the Poetry books contain some of the most loved passages of scripture.
