Readings:
Old Testament Lesson: Deuteronomy 34:1-12 (The death of Moses)
New Testament Lesson: Hebrews 3:1-6 (Jesus greater than Moses)
Gospel Lesson: Luke 9:28-36 (The transfiguration of Jesus)

Jesus took three of His disciples, Peter, James, and John, up a mountain where He was transfigured before them; the glory of Jesus was revealed as His face and garments were illuminated with heavenly glory. Elijah and Moses appeared next to Him. This transfiguration is a revelation from God that Jesus is both God and man, the anointed Messiah of the world. The glory of God is revealed in Jesus, the Son of God – who died and rose again that we might have life.
