Welcome! We invite you to join us for worship each Sunday at 8:00, 9:30 or 11:00. If you are curious about the next step, want to learn more about our ministries, or want to discover ways to get connected to people at Messiah, please consider the following opportunities…
Contact Wesly Pinkston, Connections Coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 1: Getting Started
Sunday, March 12 at 5:30pm (childcare available)
What should I expect? Getting Started is an opportunity to meet others who are curious about Messiah and those who are already connected to our community. Join us for dinner and a short talk from Pastor Chuck Schlie focusing on the basic beliefs and culture here at Messiah. A guided tour of our campus will cap off your evening. We have activities and dinner for children – bring the whole family! Getting Started is a requirement for those seeking Membership at Messiah.
Step 2: Getting Connected
Dates and times are flexible – Schedule a meeting with Wesly Pinkston at a time that works for you. Most people tend to set their meetings on Sunday mornings. Childcare can be arranged for most scheduled times.
What should I expect? Getting connected is a personal meeting with our Connections coordinator, Wesly Pinkston. During your time together, Wesly will guide you and your family through the process of getting connected to our community through our ministries and by finding ways to serve. Getting Connected is not just for those new to Messiah – if you have been worshiping at Messiah for a while and are ready to take your next step in getting connected to our community – this opportunity is for you! Getting Connected is a requirement for those seeking Membership at Messiah.
Step 3: Getting to Know Jesus
Sunday Mornings @ 9:30 – Class begins January 22 (childcare available)
What should I expect? At Messiah, our primary goal is to connect you with Jesus – and his saving grace. In this nine week class you will learn the basics of the Christian faith in a way that you have not likely heard them presented. Using the book Getting to Know Jesus, you will get better connected to Jesus through the shocking message of His grace and see how it transforms the way we live. Getting Connected is a requirement for those seeking Membership at Messiah. If you are transferring from another Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod church, this class is not required, but is highly encouraged.
Step 4: Membership
Sunday Mornings @ 9:30 – Spring and Fall
What should I expect? Whether you are just beginning your journey of faith, you are new to the Lutheran church, or you are transferring membership, becoming a member of a church is an affirmation of faith and baptism. As Messiah Lutheran Church members, we are reflectors of God’s love in earthly and eternal kingdoms through KNOWING and SHARING the love of Jesus with all who will hear. Messiah welcomes new members twice yearly through a formal introduction to the congregation and a profession of faith. Our Connections Coordinator, Wesly Pinkston is available to assist you through this process.
