Adults: The Gospel of Matthew

Sundays 9:30am | Upper Deck 4
Children’s Ministry (ages 0-8th grade) Offered At This Same Time

You are invited to join the Sunday morning Bible Study in the square led by Pastors Matzat, Rauh, Luley and the Seminary field education students. We’ll be studying the 28 chapters of the Gospel of Matthew.  This Gospel presents a unique picture of Jesus.   It was written to the Jews to demonstrate that Jesus was the promised Messiah.  Therefore, the Gospel is filled with many Old Testament Messianic promises.  All are invited to attend the Sunday morning Bible Class and grow in their knowledge of Jesus, the promised Messiah.

What should I expect? At Messiah, our primary goal is to connect you with Jesus – and his saving grace. In this nine week class you will learn the basics of the Christian faith in a way that you have not likely heard them presented. Using the book Getting to Know Jesus, you will get better connected to Jesus through the shocking message of His grace and see how it transforms the way we live. Getting Connected is a requirement for those seeking Membership at Messiah. If you are transferring from another Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod church, this class is not required, but is highly encouraged.

See How The Concept Of Sabbath Can Change Your Life
A 5-Session Study from Priscilla Shirer

One of the greatest challenges amount women in our culture is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God’s greatest gifts. In the Old Testament, Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, and it is still a gift to us today. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted, then the concept of Sabbath will change your life.
